>create facebook account just to check up on people, browse marketplace

>No friends, not in any groups, have never interacted with anything

>Instantly start getting malicious spam event invites sent to me over email

>Facebook has button or link to report them, neither in the email nor if you open them on Facebook

Amazing how the most used, most funded website in human history just allows spam with zero way to do anything about it. I've gotten more spam from Facebook in the past week then I've ever received from fediverse, Matrix, or any other decentralized thing that would be an unregulated honeypot for spam.

The plot thickens. Facebook makes you go through an AI chat to report scammers, and even though I gave it the exact link to the scam event, the agent won't do anything about it. It just tells you to use the app (not happening), and refuses to pass off help to an actual human no matter what you say.
